Meet the Team

Konstruct was born as a result of an excrutiating hangover in a boring morning lecture in 2006...

We were three mates from Otago Uni, looking to create cool threads that manifested the student lifestyle. We started out of a garage with nothing but a screenprinting carousel and an oven squeezed in beside our Bedford Van called Betty. Things have changed a bit since then...

First, we moved the garage operation to a cold, dingy warehouse, where we spent 3 poverty-stricken years living and working from these premises. We all shared the one bedroom with our desks, computers and the printing kit... it was groundhog day everyday, and we knew we had to get out of there.

Fortunately, with a whole heap of hard work and determination, we made it, and now we are on Kaikorai Valley Rd. and we LOVE running Konstruct- a business that we have poured our heart and soul into!

We continue to do this today, but with a few more helpers and loads more cool gadgets to play with. We have two emboidery machines- one with 6 heads!- a  colour digital garment printer- vinyl cutting equipment- and of course the trusty screenprinting carousel!

Our surroundings are markedly different, but our passion is still the same. We strive to be the best dang custom clothing company in Australasia! And we are getting there- We are now New Zealands premier supplier of customized apparel, and of course the preferred supplier for Otago Uni... the place where it all started.

A bit of hard work and the belief that you can achieve anything can take you anywhere!
